Richard Wilson MNA, CRNA with 14 years of clinical anesthesia experience in a Level I Trauma Center. Along with his clinical experience, he has been heavily involved in the daily classroom and clinical training of SRNA’s for the last 10 years.

Before attending anesthesia school, Richard practiced as an RN for several years in a Level I Neuro/Trauma/Surgical ICU and since graduating CRNA school, he has served as a clinical site coordinator, a Program faculty member, and on an interview and admissions committee for the last 10 years. He has experience in reviewing applications, interviewing candidates (both in-person and virtual), and guiding candidates on how to make their application more competitive both academically and clinically. In his role as a Program Faculty member, Richard has taught on a variety of topics in the classroom, clinical setting, and simulation.

Richard also served 4 years on the SEE (Self Evaluation Exam) Committee for the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). In this role, he was an item writer for the nationally administered SEE giving him knowledge on how national exams are written, administered, and scored. In addition to that, Richard recently was acknowledged in the book Current Anesthesia Practice: Evaluation and Certification Review as a reviewer for the chapter on Airway Management and will be participating as a reviewer of the Orthopedic Surgery chapter for the newest edition of Case Studies in Nurse Anesthesia.
