The CRNA School Prep Academy Conference is designed to rocket you toward success, future CRNA!

During this two-day event, you will have exclusive access to expert guest speakers and networking opportunities that will put you head and shoulders above the competition! You will…

  • Uncover the KEY strategies that will accelerate your CRNA success!
  • Explore the Autonomic Nervous System. At the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
    • Understand the primary components of the autonomic nervous system.
    • Discuss the key functions of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
    • Be familiar with the impact the autonomic nervous system has on other organ systems.
    • List the neurotransmitters involved in autonomic nervous system function.
    • Discuss what occurs at the receptors sites within the sympathetic and parasympathetic
      nervous system.
    • Understand how medications will impact autonomic nervous system function.
(Presentation by Dr. Richard Wilson, DNAP CRNA)
  • Understand the Brain and Spinal Cord in Neurophysiology in the ICU Patient.
At the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
    • Discuss key anatomical considerations of the brain and spinal cord.
    • Understand the basic functions of both the brain and spinal cord.
    • Discuss the impact injuries to the brain and spinal cord have on the body.
    • Be familiar with pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for injuries to the
      brain and spinal cord.
(Presentation by Dr. Richard Wilson, DNAP, CRNA)
  • Increase your level of confidence for your CRNA interview. Finding success in a CRNA interview may not come naturally for most. However, candidates who practice and prepare tend to outperform their peers. This session is designed to give an insider look at what these nurses can expect to experience during their interview and possibly learn what mistakes to avoid.
  • Network with Nurse Anesthesia Faculty,  Current Nurse Anesthesia Residents, and fellow future CRNAs! Our virtual setting will still allow for networking sessions and interaction with the presenters, CRNA Program Faculty, and fellow attendees. (Remember that networking opens doors, and is critical to your success!)
